I plan on sharing a few of my favorite tips for preparing RFP and RFQ responses in upcoming posts, but first let me share with you the single most important thing you can do on any written word project: proofread. By carefully reading through each sentence on every page, you are likely to uncover a variety of errors and omissions. As I emphasized in my post last month, never underestimate the power of good grammar. There never seems to be enough time to devote to a thorough once-over — especially with looming deadlines or late submissions from contributors — but it is absolutely imperative to do. The next time you feel the urge to skip that final read-through, fight it. You will not be sorry that you did.
