March 4 — Let’s celebrate National Grammar Day!

I recently came across a blog post titled “Good Grammar Is Old Fashioned, Unnecessary and Bad for Your Career”. I couldn’t disagree more! Whether responding to an RFP or designing a marketing piece, grammar plays an integral role in getting your point across. Poor grammar can distract and annoy your audience without them even knowing why. It isn’t about correct spelling and proper punctuation. Grammar is the nuance of each sentence and the individual power of every word. To err is human, but that doesn’t mean you should give up trying altogether. Show your support for good grammar by visiting the National Grammar Day website. While you’re there, check out Grammar Girl’s Quick and Dirty Tips for Better Writing.
